Harper: Workout Coach

Request account deletion

Use this page to ask Coach Harper to delete a Harper account and the server-side data associated with it. You don't need to reinstall Harper or sign in to make a request.

Start your request
Email a deletion request

Or send an email to support@coachharper.com with the subject Harper account deletion request.

When possible, send it from the email address of the Google account you used to sign in to Harper. That lets us find your account and confirm the request comes from you.

What happens next

  1. We confirm it's you. We look up the Harper account linked to the email address you used with Sign in with Google. If your request came from that address, we reply there to confirm. If it came from a different address, we send a confirmation request to the account's address instead, and only proceed once it's confirmed from that address. We never ask for your password.
  2. We delete the account. After confirmation, we delete the account and everything listed below, and sign the account out everywhere.
  3. We tell you it's done. We email you when deletion is complete.

We complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request, and usually much sooner. If we can't find an account for your email address, we'll tell you.

What we delete

  • Your Harper account ID.
  • The link between your Harper account and your Google account (the Google account identifier, also called the subject).
  • The verified email address stored with the account.
  • All active sessions and authentication records, so the account is signed out on every device.
  • Any other server-side data associated with the account, including the record linking this account to the Harper app on a device.

What Harper doesn't store on its servers

Most of what Harper knows about your training stays on your phone and was never part of your account:

  • Your workout history, progress, saved workouts, and coach memory.
  • Health Connect measurements: exercise-session details used to match workouts, heart rate, and active calories. Earlier versions of Harper may also have stored steps, distance, and total calories on your phone; Harper no longer requests or shows them.
  • Raw wearable data.

Harper's servers also don't keep AI Coach conversations. Anthropic, which generates AI Coach replies for Harper, may keep requests for up to 30 days, or longer where needed to enforce its usage policy or comply with law, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Workouts you shared with a link aren't connected to your account. They're deleted automatically within 90 days of sharing.

Removing the data on your phone

Deleting your account doesn't touch the data stored on your device, and deleting that data doesn't delete your account. To remove Harper's data from your phone, clear Harper's app data in your device settings (on Android: Settings → Apps → Harper → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall Harper. This can't be undone.

What we keep

We don't keep a copy of the deleted account data. We keep only a record that we received and completed your deletion request (the dates and our email exchange with you), so we can show the request was handled and meet legal obligations. We may also keep information for longer where the law requires it, or where it's needed to investigate a specific security incident or fraud involving the account.
